Getting Here

One of the best things about an island destination is the journey itself.

The Comox Valley & Mt. Washington are located on the eastern side of Vancouver Island and approximately 107km/66 miles north of Nanaimo and 220km/137 miles north of Victoria. It is just a hop, skip and "puddle jump" from Vancouver by BC Ferries or Air. Getting here is easy and there are many options available. You can drive, ride the bus, take the ferry or fly into the Valley direct from many locations such as Edmonton and Calgary.

Policies

What you need to know when booking with us.

Klahanie Vacation Getaways facilitates all services related to the rental of a particular property for its Owners. Each property is unique and is truly an Owner’s home away from home. Our preferred guest appreciates and enjoys the splendor of their location while taking good care of the home they are visiting. Policies at a Glance

  • All units are Non-Smoking and No Pets
  • A 50 % deposit is required when booking
  • Check-in is from 4pm on/check-out is 11am
  • Payments by cheque, cash, email money transfer and credit card
  • Units are typically equipped with bedding, towels, paper products, dishes, glassware, cutlery, cooking utensils, coffee maker, tea pot, microwave, toaster, oven, fridge, coffee, tea, salt, pepper, and hand, dish and laundry soap.
  • Use of the property is for registered guests only
  • FREE WIFI available in most units
  • All guests must agree to our policies prior to renting.

COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN FOR HOUSEKEEPING STAFF
Effective immediately until further notice and subject to change.
Please do not enter this workplace if you:
- Have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days
- Have been identified by Public Health as a close contact of someone with COVID-19
- Have been told to isolate by Public Health
- Are displaying any of the following new or worsening symptoms:
- Fever or chills - Extreme fatigue - Cough or tiredness - Loss of sense of smell or taste - Headache - Body aches - Difficulty breathing - Nausea or vomiting - Sore throat - Diarrhea - Loss of appetite

Please wash your hands or clean them with hand sanitizer before and after your visit. Please maintain physical distancing of 2 metres.
If you are displaying symptoms consistent with COVID-19, refer to HealthLink BC at 811.


Housekeeping Staff are required or recommended to do the following:

- Use hand-sanitizer when getting a ride in a Klahanie vehicle and wear a face mask
- Use hand-sanitizer or wash hands upon arrival at unit or building (housekeeping area)
- Wear face masks while moving about common areas of buildings
- Use face masks and/or face shields while working in the unit if more than one person is working in the unit at a time and cannot maintain a 6ft distance
- Use face masks and/or safety glasses or shields while working in kitchens and bathrooms
- Wash hands after completing tasks in kitchens and bathrooms
- Hand sanitize or wash hands prior to departing a unit and when entering the next unit
- Hand sanitize or wash hands before and after eating or touching food, touching any found items, etc
- Wipe down and disinfect all frequently touched areas include, but not limited to: remote controls, kitchen and bathroom sinks, tubs/showers, faucets, toilets, all handles/knobs in kitchens and bathrooms, light switches, fireplace control units, screen door locks, all door handles, laundry knobs, vacuum handles, etc.
- Housekeeping storage units are to be wiped down regularly with disinfectant
